Being a designer and creating my own wedding invitations was a bit of a challenge. I was more excited to design every detail than I was to find a dress. I wanted our invitation suite to be light-hearted, fun and reflect our wedding style. Using nautical elements was also important since it helped to tell the story of our relationship. Guests were able to check boxes and fill in responses on our RSVP cards, which made receiving them in the mail such a unique experience. Our welcome boxes included local popcorn, candy bars from the Andy Warhol Museum and custom hangover kits for our out-of-town guests.
